Aquatics Training Opportunities

We offer both Lifeguard Training and Water Safety Instructor Training classes to prepare you for future aquatic job opportunities. Our classes are offered at an affordable rate by certified Red Cross Instructors.


Registration

You must register in person at one of the following locations during hours of operation:

You must pay in full at the time of registration.

Proof of age required at registration.

Please Note

  • Come prepared to swim for all classes including the first day. We suggest bringing two towels, warm cloths to change into, your books, e-reader (for downloadable books), pen, pencil, highlighter to each class. We also suggest bringing lunch, drinks and snacks.

  • Books for both classes are available through the Red Cross, www.redcrossstore.org or downloadable from the Red Cross web site at no cost.

Training Details & Schedule

Lifeguard Training Sessions

Pool and Red Cross fee $65 (paid at time of registration)
Must be 15 years old by the time the class concludes and must complete a prerequisite swim test.
Make check payable to City of St. Petersburg.
Prior to the first class, down load books from the Red Cross web site or purchase books online from www.redcrossstore.org - $34.99 plus shipping and tax.
