UPDATE: Due to changing weather conditions, the prescribed fire scheduled for Friday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m., has been canceled.

St. Petersburg, FL (May 2022) – The US Forest Service, along with the Boyd Hill Nature Preserve staff, are conducting a prescribed fire at the preserve on Friday, May 6, beginning around 10:30 a.m. and will be conducted in unit 10 of the preserve, assuming favorable weather conditions. The prescribed fire was previously scheduled for Thursday, May 5, but, due to the shift in weather conditions, it was rescheduled.
